More control of data
We’ve improved the settings to give you even more control of managing your data. It’s now easier to archive versus permanently delete your folios. And all archived folios will be auto-deleted after a certain period of time.
Right to be forgotten
We respect our users right to be forgotten. Now, you can request to delete your entire account, folios and remove any of your personal data directly from the profile menu.
Frequently asked questions
Your folios and the Xtensio application is hosted and stored in a secure, multi-tenant Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform. Every user’s data is isolated from each other on our storage cluster.
All passwords stored by Xtensio are encrypted. All data transfers within the data center are secured by SSL. All of the user data collected by Xtensio is transmitted over SSL.
Personally identifiable information (PII) is any data that could potentially identify a specific individual. Any information that can be used to distinguish one person from another.
The only two personally identifiable pieces of information that Xtensio requires is your email and your full name.
On the free plan, all folio links are public and indexed by search engines. You can control privacy settings on our premium plans. You can also submit user-generated content to be shared with the Xtensio community.
You should avoid adding any of the following types of sensitive personal information to your folios: government-issued identification numbers; specific financial information (such as credit or debit card numbers, any related security codes or passwords, and bank account numbers); information related to an individual’s physical or mental health; and information related to the provision or payment of health care.
Xtensio retains all user data as long as you are an active user/subscriber. Archived folios will be deleted automatically after 14/90/180 days depending on your plan. All free user data will be removed from Xtensio starting 365 days of inactivity.
